hi there!
This time, I'll post in English to keep my American friends updated...Have fun Shelly Belly Bean :-)
Flown over Gobi, been to the Red Center, lived in the middle of nowhere... as you can tell, I love deserts. Two years ago, I travelled through the South of Australia with a trip right into the hot heart of the continent and I was stunned by the beauty of "nothing". The colors, the animals and especially how full of life such a dry place can be. I am just very fascinated by deserts. That's why it's back to planning again: NAMIBIA!!
The beautiful West African country is on the travel plan for 2010! Namibia must be very beautiful with its dunes, rock formations, sunsets, animals and people... So if you have any travel info or tips for Africa, let me know!

Spendenaktion

Ich hatte ja schon lange ein schlechtes Gewissen, aber nun ist es endlich beruhigt...Ich habe eine sehr "soziale" Woche hinter mir :-)
Dem netten Kellner von nebenan habe ich wieder mal richtig Trinkgeld gegeben, einer alten Omi über die Strasse geholfen, einem Schulbuben einen Schoggitaler für den Nationalpark abgekauft und Blut gespendet.
Bei letzterem muss ich mich fast schämen, hat es doch soo lange gedauert, bis ich wieder gegangen bin (...ok, mein Büro liegt wahnsinnig weite 50 Meter neben dem Basler Blutspendezentrum...). Aber immerhin hatten sie meine geliebten Ovomaltine-Schöggeli, das hat für den weiten Weg entschädigt und die Nerven beruhigt :-).
Von neuem hat mich fasziniert, wieviel Blut doch 450ml sind.... und man merkt nix vom Verlust, einfach nix. Schon faszinierend.
